Veterans can get straight answers about their rights and benefits during a meeting Dec. 5 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Heflin Community Arts Center, 279 Martin Luther King Dr., in Heflin.

Information topics will include service-connected disability compensation, special benefits for certain disabled vets, nonservice-connected pensions, benefits for windowed spouses and orphans, VA medical benefits, employment benefits, VA educational benefits, state and local veterans benefits and information about the DAV.
