Funeral services for Mr. Ernest Earl Dodson, 72, were held October 17, 2009, at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in the Black Family Cemetery.

Mr. Dodson died Thursday, October 15, 2009, at Regional Medical Center. He was a native and lifelong resident of Cleburne County. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his sister, Elizabeth Williams, of Heflin; brothers, Frank Dodson, of Warren, Mich. and Gordon Dodson, of Heflin.

Pallbearers were Billy Holley, David Cofield, Johnathon Quinn, Bill Phillips, Harry Planck and Charlie White.
