Russell Inman Reid, 81, died Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at Cleburne County Nursing Home. Funeral service for Mr. Reid were October 24, 2009, at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lamar Davis officiating. Burial followed at Heflin City Cemetery.

Pallbearers were members of the family.

Survivors include his daughter, Linda (Andy) Landers, of Anniston; two grandchildren, Jeremy Landers and Krystal Landers; one great-grandchild, Samantha Jade Landers. Mr. Reid, a native of Bowdon, Georgia, was a resident of Heflin, Alabama for most of his life. He was retired from the Anniston Army Depot and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Heflin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bettye Reid.
