Anniston based artist Ann Bradberry Robertson will be appearing at the Colonial Cottage in Heflin on Sunday from 1-4 p.m.

Robertson said, "I have loved drawing ever since I was able to hold a pencil in my hand. My earliest memories go back to Dad's lap and this cute little pig that he used to draw for me."

She adds, "How I wish that I would have listened to my junior high art teacher; but cheerleading came along, then boys, and the next thing I knew there was a son on my knee watching me draw that cute little pig. The first portrait of my son was a turning point for me.

Not only did it receive great reviews from my colleagues, portrait commission began coming in and my focus strengthened.

"After years of individual portraits, a local frame shop commission me to do a limited edition print celebrating a high school championship.

"Two more high school championship prints would come the next year."

Her other works include national magazine covers, book covers, and collegiate commissions.

Robertson has a home studio is in Anniston.
