I hope everyone will attend the community open house for the future of Anniston. More than 1,700 ideas were collected during the city’s three kickoff workshops last year and another 150 specific actions were considered during the community summit. It is now time to review the One City, One Vision action agenda.

At the open house you can see the recommendations, help establish priorities and also learn how you can become part of the solution. The city’s strategic plan is a way to address any issue that is important to a successful community. Since we all want a better Anniston, we need to all come together and plan for it.

The open house will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Feb. 27 at the Anniston City Meeting Center. Refreshments will be served.

Anniston’s tomorrow matters. Let’s make it count by all of us getting involved.
