Anniston police say a two-vehicle wreck at the intersection of Henry Road and Veterans Memorial Parkway on Tuesday afternoon sent two people to a hospital. The injuries were not life-threatening.

The crash occurred when the red Ford Edge traveling southbound down the hill failed to yield for a white Ford Expedition driven by a man in his 20s turning left onto Henry Road, Anniston police Sgt. Kevin Briley said. According to the sergeant, the Expedition’s front-right side collided with the front-left side of the Edge.

Briley said the female passenger in the Expedition, who is in her late 40s or early 50s, was taken to Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. The driver of the Edge, who is in his 50s, was also taken to RMC for treatment of minor injuries, he said.
