PTO President Tia Barr and treasurer Anna Allen are supervising an enthusiastic committee of volunteers, all dedicated to making this gala the best one yet.
In charge of decorations is Sandy Rothwell, who intends to transform the meeting center into a Cajun party town with lots of “throw-me-something-mister!” gold, green and purple beads. She’s getting plenty of help from Sonia Oblena, Linda Williams, Judy Myers, Robie Grana, Holly Doktor, Tom Wilczek, John Deno, Ted Heathcock and Tony Clark.
Meanwhile in the lobby, Noreen Pettitt along with Karen Terry, Cherie Cairo and Julie Edwards will unveil a fabulous silent auction with dozens of items including Disney World Park Hopper passes among the goodies that await eager shoppers. Sacred Heart students are also getting in on the act, putting together bountiful gift baskets, each with a different theme such as Coffee Time and Chocolate Lovers.
Trish Petry is bringing out the blackjack tables and calling in her best card sharks to present Anniston’s version of Harrah’s Casino and Dawn Wilczek is prepping the balloon board for another round of last year’s popular iPop. (Which balloon contains the winning number for an iPad Mini? One lucky partygoer is going to find out.)
Any business or organization interested in joining Anniston Medical Clinic, Advanced Orthodontics, East Alabama Eye Clinic and others as a corporate sponsor for this event should contact Tanya Sexton at 256-282-4094.
