From staff reports

Anniston Star readers will receive a Wednesday edition of the newspaper, but they should expect it to arrive at their homes and in newspaper racks and retail outlets later than normal.

Because of icy conditions that are making for unsafe driving on northeast Alabama roads, The Star’s delivery operation will not commence until 9 Wednesday morning. “We want to keep everyone as safe as possible,” said Dennis Dunn, The Star’s operations manager.

Dunn said readers should expect to see the Wednesday edition between noon and 1 p.m. But, he also said, “there will be some areas that we just can’t get to. As conditions improve, we’ll resume delivery to those areas.”

In the meantime, readers should check AnnistonStar.com for the latest news on the snowstorm.
