Alabama coach Nick Saban is aware of incoming freshman Tony Brown's arrest, according to a spokeman.

Brown, a five-star cornerback who enrolled earlier this month, was arrested and charged with "failure to obey" and "resisting arrest," according to the Tuscaloosa News.

Alabama athletics communications official Jeff Purinton said Saban was aware of the situation and "will handle it appropriately once he has a chance to review all of the information."

Brown, a two-sport athlete from Beaumont, Texas, is expected to star in football and track and field for the Tide.

Brown was ranked as the No. 2 cornerback in the nation, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

Brown is the first known arrest of an Alabama football player since cornerback Geno Smith was charged with a DUI last August.
