New IDs required by the federal REAL ID law, enacted in 2005, as a security response to acts of terrorism seem to be of little importance since final enactment is not required until Dec. 1, 2017. The law apparently requires secure, trusted and reliable identification to board domestic flights - which might have 300 to 400 passengers perhaps in peril due to a terrorist.
The feds are more concerned about 300 to 400 people in an airplane than they are the welfare of our nation in securing the legality of voters. Why is the legality of voters such a wicked offense in the eyes of the Democratic Party? Is it because voter fraud is so easy to accomplish in today’s society? Is voter fraud the only way the Democrats can secure winning elections?
Think for a moment all the ways personal identification is required in order to conduct business today. Car tags, driver’s licenses, cashing a check, insurance, opening an account, buying a car and purchasing a home are just a few of the ID requirements in place today.
In the scheme of importance, concerning the welfare of the United States, voter ID should stand up there at the top. Few things are more sacred than voting for elected officials who run this country. Great effort should be made to insure legal citizens are the only ones voting, and voting only once. If you can only win by cheating, this tells a lot about your character.
Stringent voter ID is sorely needed across this country.
