The Center for Domestic Preparedness Employee Association presented a $500 donation Dec. 4 to the Community Foundation of Northeast Alabama at the center.

The association’s donation will help sponsor the 2014 Hook and Cook, an annual fishing rodeo for the East Central Alabama Boys & Girls Clubs. The event is hosted annually by John and Susan Williamson as a fundraiser for the Mary Katherine ‘Katy’ Williamson Scholarship fund with the Community Foundation of Northeast Alabama. Katy was killed in an accident in 2005.

Attendees at the check presentation included Center for Domestic Preparedness Employee Association members Grant Bissey, far left; Pauline Cunningham, second from the left; Kent Latimer, third from the right and Babbette Harman, far right; Susan and John Williamson, center, and Whitney Hartley, second from the right, Hook and Cook event coordinator, for the Mary Katherine ‘Katy’ Williamson Scholarship fund.
