Pastor Saeed Abedini, an American citizen, is spending his second year in a deadly Iranian prison.

Why? Because he believes in the one true God and the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ.

Saeed went back to his home country to help build an orphanage and was arrested. Why would a regime arrest and imprison a man who wanted to help orphans? What is it afraid of?

These kinds of people are filled with fear of anyone they cannot control. Whether it is those who live by a pagan religion, such as those in Iran or the progressive humanist in our own nation, they want to rule over and suppress others.

Driven by a depraved ego and twisted wisdom they seek to impose their will over the masses. Freedom is an obstacle and free men are a threat to their power. They cannot tolerate those who escape their cruel ruler ship, for their power depends on having subjects, as they are the elite.

It is the gospel of Jesus the Christ that makes people free, “for it is the power of God to salvation (freedom) for everyone who believes.” This is what they are afraid of.
