Calhoun County sheriff’s officials said today that deputies arrested a Piedmont man Tuesday on charges that he attempted to break into his ex-girlfriend’s Ohatchee home.

Chadwick Coley Christian, 36, was arrested Tuesday and charged with second-degree burglary, a felony, according to the warrant for his arrest.

According to Calhoun County Sheriff Larry Amerson, the victim told deputies that Christian came to her home Tuesday to make amends.

Amerson said the victim told police that she refused to let him in, and told him to leave. According to the sheriff, Christian damaged her front door trying to force his way inside.

Amerson said the victim called deputies, who sent an Ohatchee police officer to the victim’s home. The officer found Christian sitting in his car in her driveway and arrested him, the sheriff said.

Christian was released on a $3,000 bond Tuesday, according to a warrant for his arrest. His court date is set for Dec. 2.
