The Cleburne County Band Boosters, Band Director Mr. Davis Draper, Principle, Mrs. Valarie Bain and Superintendent, Mrs. Claire Dryden are proud to announce the 2nd Annual East Alabama Band Festival on Saturday, September 21, 2013. Seventeen bands with almost 1,000 band members from Alabama and Georgia will compete to be the best band in their class during this event. We are excited to bring this annual event to our area. We have received great support from the city of Heflin, surrounding businesses, and our supporters to make this happen. It will be a great event that everyone will enjoy. Please come and join us. The first band steps off at 2:00 PM.
The Coosa Valley Resource Conservation and Development Council, the USDA - Natural Resources Conservation Service and the USDA-Rural Development Agency will be presenting a program concerning services and assistance their agencies offer. The Heflin Arts Council will be holding auditions for their production of “Christmas Belles” on Monday, September 23rd at 6:30PM at the Heflin Community Arts Center. The production dates will be December 12th, 13th, & 14th. Seeking 4 men and 7 women for this production.
