Bring your appetite to Jacksonville Thursday for Taste of the Town, the annual tasting fair and highlight of the Spirit on Mountain Street fundraiser.
Jacksonville State University, the City of Jacksonville and area civic organizations are again hosting Spirit on Mountain Street to benefit the Jacksonville Christian Outreach Center, a local nonprofit organization that offers short-term assistance for individuals and families in need.
In addition to the tasting fair, there will be a homemade cake silent auction sponsored by the Jacksonville area churches, not to mention a community pep rally featuring the internationally acclaimed JSU Southerners and Marching Ballerinas.
Tickets for Taste of the Town are 10 for $10 and may be purchased at the event. The tasting begins at 6 p.m. and the pep rally begins at 8 p.m. on Burgess-Snow Field at JSU Stadium.
