The Speak Out writer who said women have nothing to do in church, such as teachers, preaching, etc., hasn’t studied what Paul was referring to.
Paul did not forbid women from ever teaching men. Paul’s commended co-worker, Priscilla, taught Apollos (Acts 18:24-26). Paul mentioned other women who held positions of responsibility. Phoebe worked in the church (Romans 16:1); Mary, Tryphena and Tryphosa were the Lord’s workers. Euodias and Syntyche, Paul was here prohibiting the Ephesian women, but not all women. The Ephesians taught the boys at age 6. They just didn’t think the women were educated enough. In Judges 4:4, God chose Deborah to lead Israel.
When God calls women to carry His word, it’s not man’s business.
