A 47-year-old man told police his Anniston house was shot at late Thursday night.

Anniston police Capt. Allen George said the man heard gunshots around 11:25 p.m. outside his home on the 1300 block of West 12th Street. George said a neighbor later told the victim that someone shot his house. The victim found one bullet hole in a storm door and another in a wooden door, George said.

The victim was the only person in the home during the shooting, George said, and he was not injured.

The damage was estimated at $120, according to a police report.

Police recovered one unknown caliber handgun bullet inside the home, George said.

The captain said there were no suspects as of this morning and police were investigating the shooting today.

Any suspect could be charged with felony discharging a firearm into an occupied building.
