Oxford police today were looking for a 20-year-old woman they say punched and threw acetone in the face of a nail salon employee last week.

Oxford police Lt. L.G. Owens said officers were called to the Pink Nail Bar on Davis Loop on May 28.

He said employees of the salon told police a customer — later identified as Quentreesia Shanace White of Anniston — became irate and started cursing loudly. When White was asked to leave, she threw a cup of acetone in a worker’s face and began flicking the employee in the face with her finger, Owens said.

According to the lieutenant, White’s boyfriend pulled her out of the salon and when the employee followed the two out of the building to write down their vehicle’s license plate number, White punched the employee in the face twice.

Owens said that despite having a bloody nose, the employee wrote down the car’s tag number, with which investigators identified White.

According to police reports, White could face charges of third-degree assault.

Anyone with information is asked to call Oxford Police at 256-835-6122.
