Alyssa Perkey graduated May 23 from Weaver High School with an advanced diploma with honors. She was active in Big Brothers/Big Sisters, SGA, Camp Weaver, yearbook, Honor society, FBLA, and was a cheerleader in grades 7-12. She was also in dual enrollment in her junior and senior years which meant she took college courses while in high school. She plans to attend Jacksonville State University in the fall and major in special education. She received a Leadership Scholarship, an Austin Joplin Scholarship, a Weaver High School Alumni Scholarship and a Hattie Howze Scholarship. She is the daughter of Lisa and Eddie Bradley of Weaver, Tony and Heather Perkey of Soddy-Daisy, Tenn. She is the granddaughter of Larry and Ruby Cordle of Anniston, Nancy Perkey of Soddy-Daisy, Tenn., and Juanita Bradley of Gadsden.
