Anniston police this morning were investigating a report of a woman firing a gun into another woman’s car Saturday.

According to Anniston police Capt. Allen George, two women were involved in an argument during a party at the Anniston City Meeting Center on Saturday night. George said he did not know what the fight was about.

According to George, when one of the women tried to leave the party, the other followed her outside to her car. The pursuing woman fired a handgun at the woman who’d left first, hitting her driver’s side window, door and tire, George said.

According to George the victim sped away and called police from a location farther up Noble Street.

The police recovered 9 mm shell casings from the scene, George said. The suspect could face felony charges of discharging a firearm into a building.
