Recently, I had a family issue involving document changes that I could not get resolved no matter who I turned to. I went to see Eli Henderson, the new Calhoun County Circuit Clerk. Eli made it happen — or I should say Kim McCarson, Eli’s daughter, who is the deputy clerk with more than 20 years’ experience in the court system, went into action. She used her knowledge and expertise to resolve the issue that I had been trying to solve for two days.

As a veteran, I want to thank Eli and Kim for all they do to support the veterans. We need more elected officials like them who take a personal interest in the public, which they serve on a daily basis. They truly set the standard for others to follow.
