It was a joy to be at Happy Hill Sunday. Special drama by the youth. Special singing by Vicky Blanton. Being Mother’s Day, each mother was recognized and given a token of appreciation. A Mother’s Day poem was read by Holly Benefield. The youngest mother award went to Amber Bearden. The most experienced mother was Polly Davidson and Frances Hyatt took the prize for having the most children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren present.

Consider this your personal invitation to join us next Sunday....Sunday School - 10:00; Preaching - 11:00

Join us in praying for Irmalene and Robert Norton, Joyce Austin, Betty Hayes, Henry Jordan, Roger Ledbetter, Elizabeth White, Rider Bearden, Jane Ivey, Glenda Harris, Penny Strickland, Jimmy Jarrell, Martha Holley, Jack Harman, Ken Sanders, Alice Pair, Frank Hagan, Terry Benefield, Kerry Smith, Mark Jones and Dave Werner.

Until next time, God bless!

Choosy Mothers choose Jesus!

Fred is 32 years old and he is still single. One day a friend asked, “Why aren’t you married? Can’t you find a woman who will be a good wife?”

Fred replied, “Actually, I’ve found many women I wanted to marry, but when I bring them home to meet my parents, my mother doesn’t like them.”His friend thinks for a moment and says, “I’ve got the perfect solution, just find a girl who’s just like your mother.” A few months later they meet again and his friend says, “Did you find the perfect girl? Did your mother like her?”

With a frown on his face, Fred answers, “Yes, I found the perfect girl. She was just like my mother. You were right, my mother liked her very much.”

The friend said, “Then what’s the problem?”

Fred replied, “My father doesn’t like her.”
