Virginia Mathews and Pattrick Ladner were married Dec. 15, 2012, at Parker Memorial Baptist Church. The Rev. Kevin Garrett performed the ceremony. Music was provided by Vicki Brock, organist and Don Gober, soloist.

Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Jake Mathews Jr. of Anniston.

Parents of the groom are Betty Jean Ladner of Gulfport, Miss., and the late Prince Joseph Ladner.

Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Nash of Birmingham and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jake Mathews, formerly of Talladega.

Matrons of honor were Jeanette Mathews Griffey and Kimberly Davenport.

Groomsman was John Ladner Jr.

Ushers were Matt Griffey and Glenn Davenport

The best man was John Ladner.

After a cruise to the Bahama Islands the couple resides in Columbus, Ga.

The bride wore a slim-line gown of lace and satin. The strapless sweetheart bodice was constructed from a rich lace appliqué. The empire waistline was defined with a satin band accented with a Swarovski crystal brooch.

The reception was held at Classic on Noble.
