RICHMOND, Ky. – Michael Bishop had three hits and three RBIs but Jacksonville State fell 14-6 at Eastern Kentucky on Sunday afternoon.

The Gamecocks (29-23, 20-7 Ohio Valley Conference) took two of three in the series.

Kenny Hostrander had five hits and scored three runs to pace Eastern Kentucky.

Matt Lynch (1-5) scattered five hits and allowed six runs in 5 1/3 innings to pick up his first win of the season for the Colonels. Tony Urban (3-2) gave up four runs in just 1 2/3 innings to suffer the loss for the Gamecocks.

The Gamecocks took a 1-0 lead in the first inning after Bishop led the game off with a walk, stole second and moved to third on a wild pitch. Adam Miller followed with a sacrifice fly to right field to score Bishop to give JSU the early lead. That was the Gamecocks' only lead in the game.
