Considering former President Bill Clinton's gift for gab, you might expect him to be an easy convert to the Internet's wide selection of social media options. But that's not the case.

Clinton famously sent only two emails during his two terms in the White House. And though he has a presence on Facebook, he only joined Twitter this month. To date, he's sent only four tweets.

Here's the one he sent Thursday: "Congratulations George and Laura on opening The Bush Center. Proud Hillary and I could be here."

Clinton, however, seems to be in the minority when it comes to politicians -- present or past -- and Twitter. Politicians of all shapes and sizes have Twitter accounts; some of them, such as President Obama's and Michelle Obama's, are usually handled by assistants. (When the first lady tweets, she puts a "MO" after the tweet.)

Here are a few others to follow:

Sen. John McCain.

Vice President Joe Biden.

Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley.

Alabama Lt. Gov. Kay Ivey.

Alabama Attorney General Luther Strange.

U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions.

U.S. Sen. Richard Shelby.

U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers.

Alabama Sen. Del Marsh.

A few more from our neck of the woods:

Anniston Councilman Seyram Selase.

Oxford Police Chief Bill Partridge.

Calhoun County Sheriff Larry Amerson.
