Police received a call from a Chevron employee Wednesday morning after the man robbed the store of an undisclosed amount of cash. Anniston police Sgt. Chris Sparks said the suspect entered the store between 6:15 a.m. and 6:35 a.m. and demanded money from a cashier. The suspect kept his face covered with clothing and brandished what appeared to be a handgun, Sparks said.
No one was injured during the robbery, the sergeant said.
Sparks said the incident was still under investigation Thursday, and that a suspect would likely be charged with first-degree robbery.
