Anniston police are searching for a suspect who stole $3,775 in equipment from a local recording studio Tuesday.

The studio, owned by a 41-year-old Oxford man, is on the 1300 block of Walnut Avenue, according to Anniston police Sgt. Chris Sparks. The owner told police he left the business at midnight Tuesday and returned at 7:00 p.m. to find the studio had been burglarized, Sparks said. The sergeant said the suspect forced his way through a metal door and stole recording equipment, including speakers, a microphone and a desktop computer.

According to a police report, the suspect is likely to face charges of third-degree burglary, a felony.

Police are investigating the incident and as of Wednesday had no suspects.
