The Jacksonville Yoshukai Karate of the Jacksonville Community Center recently awarded its members of Team One Yoshukai of 2012.

Award recipients included left to right, Chuck Torruella, Sensei, sixth-degree black belt; Peter Leavitt, second-place youth black belt; Michael Leavitt, sixth place adult black belt; Christian Penny, seventh-place youth black belt and ‘Yoshukai Student of the Year’; Haley Conroy, eighth-place youth black belt; Jerdon Lewis, first-place youth blue belt and Wesley Lewis, third-place youth green belt.

Not pictured was Brooks Davis, fifth-place youth brown belt and Christen Law, 11th place youth yellow belt.
