Anniston police charged a woman Monday with stealing her grandmother’s debit card last month.

Christie Darlene Smith Snyder, 47, of Anniston, was charged with second-degree theft and fraudulent use of a credit card, both felonies, according to a police report.

Anniston police Capt. Allen George said Snyder stole the card on April 7 and used it for several transactions at Walmart and a gas station. George said the transactions totaled less than $120.

Snyder was in the Anniston City Jail Tuesday afternoon, George said. Bond is set at $20,000. Snyder is scheduled to appear in court on May 20.
