Ranburne’s Chase Whitley, now pitching for the Staten Island Yankees as their closer is, according to a blog on Yankeesdaily.com “doing really well.”

Whitley received the NYP Pitcher of the Week for 06/28/2010.

In four games he had three saves, one win and seven strike outs in six innings pitched. He has given up no earned runs, no hits and no walks according to the blog.He has also pitched two inning saves twice.
