The Too Thrifty Chicks love to shop, but eventually you reach the point where you have enough clothes, and the only shopping that needs to happen is in your closet.

I am a fan of shopping my closet and saving money, so figuring out different ways to rock one clothing item is a must. Take this 1980s navy and white polka-dot dress that Reese got me for Christmas. When I saw it, I immediately thought, “This is what I’m wearing for Easter.” And I did.

But who says your Easter dress is only good one day a year? Not me. I plan on rocking this dress as much as I can and the way to do that is to style it in more ways than one. Here are my three best looks.

‘Gone with the Wind’ fabulous

There is nothing more fun than a flirty hemline. I’ve known that since I was probably 3 years old (now twirl, twirl, twirl).

Adding a structured jacket to the top of the dress in a bright, fun color keeps it classy, but with a punch. If you’re really feeling adventurous, add a pair of neon tights in a different but similarly fun color.

Don’t be cardi for the party

The calendar might say spring, but where we live — baby, it’s cold outside. This bright yellow boyfriend-style cardigan is warm with a pop of “Hello!”

A slimmer belt, a statement necklace and maybe some statement tights give this look a whole different vibe.

Oh, chambray

Nothing like a denim shirt to make a dress instantly more relaxed. A chambray fabric contrasts subtly with the navy background of the dress for an outfit that’s perfect for a casual brunch with friends.

So before you head to the store to buy one more thing, take out a few of your favorite pieces and see if you can style them in a different way to get more use out of them.

You will love your wardrobe more and save some money.
