After the Baltimore Ravens’ win at the Super Bowl, Ravens’ fans destroyed cars and looted stores. After the San Francisco Giants’ win in the 2012 World Series, mass riots broke out with cars overturned and rioters rampaging through the city. After the 2012 Stanley Cup, rioters in Vancouver smashed windows and set fire to buildings. In 2010, Los Angeles Lakers’ fans rioted in the streets after the Lakers won the NBA title.
After reading about all this, I have come to the conclusion that professional sport championship games cause riots and other criminal activity. We must, therefore, look for tighter championship game control or even ban them altogether. This will result in less crime, and people will feel safer.
Help keep our streets safe. Call your representative today and tell him or her that you want an end to professional championship game violence.
