What an incredible time of year this is at Interfaith Ministries. With thankful hearts brimming over after the Interfaith Community Thanksgiving Service at 17th Street Missionary Baptist Church, we watch our community respond by giving so generously.

We are thankful for the leadership of Parker Memorial Baptist Church and many other members of the faith community who orchestrate Christmas Clearinghouse. Through their effort, we will serve more than 350 families living under the poverty level with food, clothes and toys.

We are thankful for church and civic groups, as well as individuals who bring us blankets, toiletries, towels and snacks for homeless and displaced persons who frequent The Open Door.

We are thankful for volunteers who serve on our Board of Directors, who deliver Meals on Wheels, who teach Bible studies and craft classes for our clients, who lead “Jobs for Life” classes, who staff our front desk, who plant seeds of faith at the Interfaith Community Garden while we grow vegetables, who provide dental care for people in dire need.

There is much to be grateful for at Interfaith Ministries.
