In Mike Stedham’s “Dyed Blond,” JLAC and CAST (Community Actors’ Studio Theater Inc.) members Hervey Folsom, Donna Ross, Tammy Doering, Jami Ricketts, Shannon Bolton, Michelle Fuller, Margaret Folsom, Linda Lee, Kimberly Davenport, Kara Silvers and Lana Hurst will grace the stage at the Anniston Country Club on Thursday, Oct. 24 and Friday, Oct. 25.
This time around, the Country Club will be transformed into an old Hollywood-style Halloween party with more than a few “Marilyns” in attendance. Rumor has it, someone doesn’t leave the party, and the guests will guess who the killer is (don’t forget to bring cash for buying clues).
Emcee for the event will be JLAC President Alyson Mims. Committee Chair is Vice President of Fund Development Tanya Sexton. Other committee members include Lori Ellis, Anna-Marie Moorer, Brooke McCulley, Margaret Folsom, Tammy Doering, Missy Wagoner, Janet Flowers, Nichole Miller, Donna Ross, Leann Emrick and Joanna Ward.
Pre-whodunit cocktails, along with a silent auction, will begin at 6:30 p.m., and a scrumptious dinner of seasonal salad, boneless chicken breast stuffed with spinach and boursin cheese, roasted potatoes, green beans, rolls and pumpkin cheesecake with caramel sauce will be served as the show starts at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $50 per person and must be purchased in advance from any JLAC member. Unfortunately, tickets will not be sold at the door. For more information, email email@example.com or check out the group’s website at jlanniston.org.
The League’s focus area is “healthy lifestyle choices in children,” which they are carrying out through Junior League’s Kids in the Kitchen initiative and by partnering with the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce Adopt-A-School program in adopting Weaver Elementary School. All money raised at the Murder Mystery Dinner Theater will go to further JLAC’s programs and leadership training opportunities.
