WEAVER — White Plains got its elusive first area win Tuesday by sweeping Weaver 3-0 in sets that scored 25-13, 25-19 and 25-13. The Wildcats (6-2, 1-1) never trailed in any of the sets.

White Plains coach Joi Watts said she was happy with the win but stated that they “still have a lot of things to work on.”

“The girls are still getting adjusted to what I want to see from them,” she said. “They’ve been working hard, giving me all they have in the gym, so I’m pleased that we came away with the win.”
