A 39-year-old woman reported her Anniston home was shot at multiple times Saturday morning.

Anniston police Sgt. Chris Sparks said the woman heard several gunshots outside her home on the 1700 block of Moore Avenue around 11:30 a.m. The woman later discovered four walls, a window pane and a mirror were damaged by bullets, Sparks said. The home sustained $570 worth of damage, according to a police report.

Sparks said the woman was not injured during the shooting. Officers recovered several shell casings outside the home, the sergeant said.

Sparks said the incident was under investigation today, and he was uncertain this morning why the shooting occurred.

A suspect could be charged with felony discharging a firearm into a building.
