According to Anniston police Sgt. Chris Sparks, the theft took place between Oct. 1 and Oct. 30 at a building on the 300 block of Pappy Dunn Boulevard. Sparks said an IAC employee on Wednesday noticed the equipment, two mold injectors, sitting in a parking lot on the corner of Golden Springs Road and Choccolocco Road.
IAC does injection molding for automotive components. Repeated attempts to reach a corporate spokesperson were unsuccessful Thursday and today.
Sparks said the equipment is specific and easily identifiable, which is how the employee realized it belonged to the company.
The equipment did not appear to be damaged, Sparks said.
Sparks said the company will press charges against any suspect, who could face multiple felony counts of first-degree theft.
