Police were searching this morning for a suspect who stole money Saturday from a bar on Noble Street.

Anniston police Sgt. Chris Sparks said a bar employee told police they discovered the missing money early Saturday morning. The bar is located on the 1000 block of South Noble Street, Sparks said.

The suspect stole $2,140 and damaged a metal door, according to a police report.

The sergeant said police were still working this morning to learn how a suspect entered the bar.

No suspects had been named as of this morning, Sparks said.

Any suspects could face charges of third-degree burglary, a felony, according to the report.
