Chris Hill, of Anniston and a volunteer “ambassador” for Dogs for the Deaf, is available to make presentations to civic and community organizations, school PTOs, interested parents or other individuals. Dogs for the Deaf, located in Oregon, is a non-profit organization that for 30 years has rescued dogs from animal shelters and trained them to help adults and children with different disabilities, challenges and needs. Gentiva Hospice is looking for new volunteers to serve in a variety of areas from administrative help to offering support to a hospice patient through visits or weekly phone calls.
