Morris named 1st runner-up in pageant

Lindsey Morris, 15, was named 1st runner-up in the Miss Lake Martin Pageant in May. Also in May, she won the Alexander City Parks and Recreation Department’s spring beauty pageant. She was named most photogenic in both.

Lindsey is the daughter of Mike and Carla Morris of Alexander City, formerly of Jacksonville. She is a sophomore at Benjamin Russell High School where she is a cheerleader.

Her grandparents are Joe and Barbara Kirkland of Alexandria, formerly of Jacksonville, and Tom and Janice Morris of Villa Rica, Ga. Her siblings are Lauren Morris and Michael Morris. Her aunt and uncle, Cathy and David Couch, live in Jacksonville.

Lindsey recently attended the Universal Cheerleaders Association Camp in Panama City Beach where she was named All-American. She was in the top three in the jump-off competition, received a pin for Pin it Forward award, and her junior varsity team came in 1st place in the extreme routine, sideline cheer and home camp dance. She will participate in the Thanksgiving Day parade at Disneyworld.
