My Say! I have noted with interest the political debate over enacting laws concerning driver distractions. This covers any and all uses of technical devises while behind the wheel. Well, here is a cause in which I can get involved.

I have always been rather slow to become "techno savvy" It took me a long time to consent to e-mail!!! Now I love it. I had a cell phone that looked more like a brick than a phone. When I upgraded to a newer model, I think that AT&T put my trade-in phone in a museum! I went from a chunk of metal and plastic to a sleek, shiny, credit card size device. It is great, but takes some getting use to! It is a touch screen and there in lies part of my problem! Not long ago, I was DRIVING and needed to call my husband ... bad mistake. I did not have an accident nor did I cause one. However, because my phone requires precision when pressing numbers, I accidentally signed up for ESPN to deliver game scores directly to my phone instead of reaching Rudy! (This never happened with my brick).

Now "texting" is really new to me! It is amazing and it helps keep me in touch with my family ... instantly! Here's the deal! I have problems "texting" while I am sitting at my breakfast room table. You don't want to be on the road if I dared to try to text and drive.

I support the banning of such devises while driving. I am in the minority, I'm sure. The next time you are in traffic (on any given day), check out the drivers around you! I'll bet you that three out of every five are using their phone for talking or texting WHILE driving their vehicle. Okay ... I've said it!

Bye!

Until Next week ... remember ... God does his best work with those who leave the choices up to Him!
