HOT BLAST: Why the front page matters

As the newspaper industry rushes into its digital future, events like yesterday's bombings in Boston remind us of why print editions of newspapers still matter.



While websites have updated the news constantly over the past 19 hours, there's something special about how newspapers presented this tragedy with ink and paper this morning. A website can be changed in seconds, but a print edition is the thing that will be stored for safekeeping. It's a reminder of an historic moment in the nation's history.
