This one will probably have a long lifespan. Call it a political consultant's dream.

A Georgia congressman, the National Review reports, was making a point about how congressional aides can spend a few years on the job and then jump aboard the lobbyist gravy train and "make $500,000 a year."

"Meanwhile," Gingrey said, "I’m stuck here making $172,000 a year.”

The median household income in Georgia in the 2007-2011 period (the most recent year figures are available) was about $49,000 annually. And he's the one who is stuck.
