Like most advocacy groups, the conservative Heritage Foundation and Heritage Action take stances and write on topics that either favor their viewpoints or promote their favored political candidates and causes. Such advocacy happens on both sides of the aisle.

This week, Heritage Action ranked Alabama's congressional delegation by its conservative voting record. Considering Alabama's delegation contains only one Democrat -- U.S. Rep. Terri Sewell -- the listing was essentially a determination of which Alabama Republicans hold tightest to the GOP flag when its comes time to vote.

U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks was the winner with a 100 percent conservative voting record, the Heritage Foundation determined. But look at the list and see where notables such as Rep. Mike Rogers and Sens. Jeff Sessions and Richard Shelby ranked. If anything, it's an interesting way to view our delegation.
