There’s nothing wrong with giving a second chance to someone who truly wants to better himself. But seriously, can someone stop giving Ole Miss guard Marshall Henderson a pass?

The bad boy of Southeastern Conference basketball was suspended Wednesday — again — for a violation of team rules. Curiosity is actually high on the details.

Henderson’s first response came via Twitter two hours before the news broke. It simply said, “This will be an interesting #whitegirlwednesday.” Nice.

Trouble is nothing new for the rising fifth-year senior, his first coming as freshman at Utah State when he punched a teammate during a game. That came a year after it was reported Henderson was arrested for buying $800 worth of marijuana with counterfeit money. He later served 25 days in jail for violating his probation, testing positive for alcohol, marijuana and cocaine.

Not to be ignored, Henderson also has a lot of talent. He rains 3s at will, but he sets the standard for being a tool, as well. Despite his on-court antics — like throwing ice at the Ole Miss crowd — only upsetting fans, his off-the-court habits are enough that should end his career.

At a certain point, Henderson has to at least try to be a role model of some sort. If not, Henderson will find himself like Titus Young … not an athlete at all.
