Jesse Cecil Post

Mr. Jesse Cecil Post, age 86, of Heflin, Alabama passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2008 at his residence.
Mr. Post was born on January 7, 1922 in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of the late Mr. Benjamin James Monroe Post and the late Mrs. Lena Jordan Post. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II. Mr. Post worked as a cabinet maker and retired from Custom Built Cabinets in Villa Rica. He was a member of Mount Olive Church of God.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Post was preceded in death by his brothers, Loyd Post, Grady Post, Pleasant Thomas Post, James Monroe Post, Jr. and William Post; and his sisters, Minnie Clyde Post, Annie Mae Post, Susan Belle Post, Benise Lee Post and Marie Post.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Artie Lee Self Post of Heflin, Alabama; 3 daughters and their husbands, Brenda Faye and Kenny Daniel of Heflin, Alabama, Jamie Post Bennett of Heflin, Alabama and Bertie Lynn Post of Carrollton, Georgia; 5 sons and their wives, Randy David and Sara Post of Heflin, Alabama, William Eugene and Elisabeth Holt of Kennesaw, Georgia, Bryan Henry and Jammie Murphy of Heflin, Alabama, John Wesley and Rosa Post of Heflin, Alabama and Miles Cecil and Sharla Post of Heflin, Alabama; 23 grandchildren, Kevin Daniel; Brandon, Shaun and Sebastian Holt; Shane, Sonya and Chad Atchison; Christopher, Tori, John Henry, Sam and Ariana Murphy; Nikki, Paige and Tessa Post; Nick and Jessica Bennett; Jana and Jack Layton; Michael and Christian Camp and Dakota and Saleena Post; 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services were conducted Thursday, October 2, 2008 at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Brother Brian Gilpin officiating. Musical selections was rendered by the Heritage Quartet. Serving as pallbearers were Rockie Daniel, Gene Franklin, Greg Morgan, Jarvis Taylor, Wilton Lee and Joey Williams.
Interment followed in the Private Estates at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens on Hickory Level Road in Villa Rica with military honors provided by the Georgia National Guard Honor Guard.
