Mr. Norman Gene Jordan, age 73, of Ranburne, AL formerly of Douglasville, GA passed away Monday, September 1, 2008. He was born January 11, 1935 in Clarkdale, GA. He was preceded in death by his father Carl Jordan, mother Lillie B. Hall Jordan, step-mother Joyce Jordan, and 8 brothers and sisters. Mr. Jordan was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a retired truck driver, member of the Teamster Union for almost 50 years, and attended Freedom Baptist Church in Ranburne, AL. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Wayne Whittle; son and daughter-in-law, Sammy and Laura Jordan; daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Darryl Jones; grandchildren, Bradley and Tasha Whittle, Brent Whittle, Brady Whittle, Jordan Jones, Jalin Jones, Olivia Jordan, Jack Jordan; sister and brother-in-law, Jeanette and John Rogers. The funeral service was held September 4, 2008 at Rosehaven Chapel with Rev. Darryl Jones, Preacher Wayne Whittle, and Preacher Brent Whittle officiating. Interment followed at Powder Springs City Cemetery. Pallbearers were son, grandsons, and brother-in-law. Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Jones and Thomas Whaley.
