Kyrus Donald Camp, 66, died Wednesday, September 3, 2008. Funeral service for Mr. Camp were held September 5, 2008, at New Hopewell Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Joe Murray and Rev. Richard Collins officiating. Burial followed at New Hopewell Cemetery with Dryden Funeral Home in charge. Survivors include his wife, Shelby (Biggers) Camp, of Heflin; grandchildren, Beau (Angela) Gaines, of Muscadine and Bradley Jay Gaines, of Heflin; great-grandchildren, Brody Jay Gaines and Tucker Gaines, both of Muscadine; brother, Doyce (Deborah) Camp, of Tallapoosa, Ga. Pallbearers were Doyce Camp, Matt Camp, Mike Camp, Billy Ray Camp, Ray Camp, Charles Hunt, Hubert Benefield, Jeff Davis, Eddie Coefield and Joe Dewberry. Mr. Camp was a member of New Hopewell Baptist Church. He was a self-employed logger, an avid hunter and sportsman, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
