Services for Docie Chandler, 95, of Muscadine were held Feb. 16 at the Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Benny Abney and Rev. Chester Pesnel officiating. Music was furnished by Frank Maria. Burial followed in the Camp Ground Methodist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Chandler died Feb. 14. She was born Feb. 8, 1912, in Cleburne County to the late Lewis and Mudie Hulsey Long. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Denver Chandler, and sister Loal Long Brown. She was a devoted housewife, a member of Muscadine Methodist Chuch. Survivors include three cousins, Mamie Kilgore and Gay Vaughn of Muscdine and Ethel Hicks of Albany, GA., in addition to other relatives.
