Willard Boman, 86, passed away on February 5, 2008 from complications from Vascular Dementia at the Glen in John Knox Village surrounded by many family members and friends. Willard is survived by his spouse of 60 years, Marguerite Boman and their five children, Alan, Dean, Wayne, Claudia and Donna. He also has eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He also has a sister, Ethel Pope, in Bremen, Georgia. Willard grew up in Heflin, Alabama and joined the Navy at 17 and spent 20 years serving in the Navy. He then spent over 35 years pasturing nine Southern Baptist churches and then retired to Winter Haven, FL. Viewing will be Feb 7, 2008 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kraeer Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held February 8 at The First Baptist Church, Pompano Beach, Fl 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at the South Florida at 11:30 on February 11, 2008 at South Florida VA National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to The Baptist College of Florida, 5400 College Dr, Graceville, Fl 32440.
